This hike was pretty short and fairly easy but still with it's challenges. In order to get down to the falls you have to scale down a boulder (ok, it's like 3 steps backwards but to me and my bad knees it feels like a mile and a half) and walk along the river bank. Then you have to cross the river on either rocks or a log (I chose rocks, more sturdy looking) to get to the falls. Then it's rock scaling to get up to the doughnut. We had Nate do this part, it was wet and slippery and he had the best shoes of the bunch. This of course inspired him to do a man-pose on the rocks. Which from then on became a regular thing on our hikes.

While Nate was off being a man we found a chipmunk to be friends with...he even ate almonds right out of my hand!
